Over the next six months, 172 participants returned to the weight they had at the beginning. The number of participants in this experiment with the symptoms of heartburn again increased from 16% to 22%.Scientists noticed that even a little weight gain, less than 5% of the original figure, has led to the deterioration of symptoms. In addition, participants of this experiment, should not only have a diet for five weeks, they also should have been taken exercises, and different activities as jogging or walking for five hours a week. Thus, scientists concluded that in contrast to men, women can reduce their symptoms of heartburn with help of regular exercises.

The Causes Of Heartburns

Heartburns are a result when there is an excessive stomach acid leakage into the esophagus or lower throat. Acid reflux, which means that when the acid is flow- ing back, is a common medical tern used to explain a situation where your stom- ach acid flows back from the stomach of a patient to the esophagus. This is an extremely difficult situation to deal with and would disrupt the life of the sufferer, especially those who suffer from the frequent symptoms of this trou- blesome illness. H2 antagonist is a type of medication which reduces the flow and quantity of the acids in your stomach. Proton pump treatment is normally prescribed to patients who are not re- sponding to antacids or acid blockers. The principle of this medication is such; it would block the proteins and disables them. These proteins control the pH mechanism of your stomach. Once it has achieved them, the medication would have an effect on your stomach and wouldn’t let the acid from inflicting further damage on your digestion. You would need to consult your physician first before any such medication. Most medical practitioners greatly recommend controlling your food intake while treatment is being performed. From experience, those patients who have controlled their diet respond better to medication compared to those who have no control over their diet. If medication doesn’t work, doctor would prescribe surgery. However, this is often when you condition is very severe.
